Spring blossoms

April 6, and the first blossoms of spring are popping out in earnest. Almost overnight, the forsythia is in full bloom and the Bonfire Dwarf Peach tree has sprouted "bottlebrush" blooms. Left and below, what the tree will look like in September, barring an April frost.

I love the Dwarf Peach Tree! If they sell them in North Texas, I want one!
I hadn't heard of them before, thanks for sharing.

Kathy, my husband found this little tree at Lowe's about 5 years ago. We'd never seen one and haven't seen one anywhere since, but that tree has given us so much joy. I don't know about growing it in Texas, but ask your nursery about "Bonfire Genetic Dwarf Peach." I've added another photo of the tree (September 2008)so you can see it in its late summer beauty.
