This was the view out my kitchen window yesterday evening. I'd like to think God placed this vivid, full double rainbow there to celebrate the birth of our second grandson born early yesterday morning. Welcome to the world, Cal!
Congratulations on your new grandson! The double rainbow is certainly beautiful. We saw the very same rainbow and I tried to get a photo in our backyard, but mine did not turn out as well as yours did. Speaking of rainbows, when we visited Ecuador almost 3 years ago, we were flying over the jungle with a Mission Aviation Fellowship pilot, we were filled with amazement as we saw a complete circular (like a ring) rainbow below us. The colors were vivid against the deep green of the rain forest.
Vonnie, that circular rainbow sounds gorgeous! What an experience to visit Ecuador and fly over the rain forest. I'd love to do that someday!
My rainbow picture did turn out quite well, but I've never, ever taken a photo of a rainbow that even came close to doing justice to the "Author" of the rainbow. : ) This one was SO vivid, and it was a complete arch across the sky - and double! One of my neighbors commented that "this must be what Noah's rainbow - the very first rainbow - looked like!" I had to agree!
So nice to hear from you. And thanks for the congratulations on our grandbaby. I can't WAIT to meet him!
Wow! Sometimes words fall short when we want to describe God's beautiful creations :) You captured the rainbow wonderfully well. How appropriate to celebrate the birth of your second grandson. A gift indeed. Congratulations Grandma and Grandpa. Enjoy that new little boy! They're such a joy!
